Gary Blake McMahan and Wanda Sue (Baker) McMahan were married Feb. 23, 1974, in Memphis, Tenn., by Squire Joe Cooper in a private ceremony. Both are former teachers in the Berryville School District, “Miss Mac” 19 years teaching family and consumer sciences (home economics) and Mr. McMahan teaching math for four years after retiring from teaching math in Missouri. On Saturday, March 23, there will be a celebration reception at the Alpena Methodist Church located at 207 W. Hill St. (the corner of Hill and Denver streets) just down from Alpena High School. The event will be a drop-in reception from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. The couple would love to see their friends from the area. No gifts, but cards would be awesome.
