The 2023 Grandma’s House CAC Ice Cream Social 5K went off without a hitch on Saturday, June 10, with 110 participants and no rain.
The overall race winner was 15-yearold Clay McKinney with a time of 18:35 and Mercy Berryville Hospital won the Corporate Challenge award.
“Thank you to Hudson Race Timing for their stellar services and to our event sponsor Hometown Scoop for always cheering us on!” said Kaleigh Evans of Grandma’s House.
This year’s race raised $3,000 for the child abuse victims Grandma’s House serves. Grandma’s House is a children’s advocacy center that provides advocacy, forensic interviews, sexual assault medical exams and trauma focused therapy to children ages 0-18 for free to help aid their journey to hope and healing after abuse allegations.
