Two women were killed in a head-on collision Wednesday, June 11, on Carroll County Road 814, according to an Arkansas State Police report.
The report said a 2020 Honda driven by Floridalma Ochoa, 18, of Green Forest was traveling eastbound on CR 814 at 9:05 a.m. when it crossed the center line while negotiating a curve and collided head-on with a westbound 2015 Ford driven by Kasi Smothers, 36, of Green Forest.
Ochoa and a passenger in her vehicle, Dayari Anahi Cifuentes, 26, of Green Forest, were killed, the report says. Smothers and a minor female who was a passenger in Ochoa’s vehicle were injured, according to the report. They were transported to North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison, the report says.
In a Facebook post, the Berryville School District said Ochoa would have been a senior this fall at Berryville High School.
“It is with great heartbreak we share devastating news that one of our upcoming seniors, Floridalma ‘Yuli’ San Agustin Ochoa, has passed away following a car accident,” the district’s Facebook post says. “Please keep this student’s family and friends in your prayers.”
Ochoa and Cifuentes became the 203rd and 204th people to die in Arkansas traffic accidents in 2025.
