BHS to present ‘Sense & Sensibility’ Jan. 7-9

The BHS Bobcat Theatre Department is making last-minute preparations for its upcoming production of Sense and Sensibility, adapted by Kate Hamill from the Jane Austen novel of the same title.

The show will be presented to the public at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Jan. 7-8, and at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 9.

Featured in the cast of 21 are students Eden Wilson (Elinor), Sadie Sharp (Marianne), Nathan Edwards (John Willoughby), Andrew Engel (Edward Ferrars), as well as three BHS teachers, Chandra High, Hunter Rivett and Jennifer Feltman. Others in the cast include Jarika Phillips, Shelby Newby, Ekira Hernandez, Krystal Hipps, Averie Engel, Grayson Morrell, Jerry Carter, Lithzy Leon, Aleena Pittman, Shyanne Brown, Zita Guhr, Tayvin Putman, Karson Detherage, Ayden Mora and Victor Albert.

Crew members include stage manager Evelyn Pensamiento, assistant stage managers Faith McKinney and Ashlee Bills, as well as backstage workers Haylee Rich, Allison Pinkley, Shiloh Donley, Jennifer Carrera and Aubrie Sneed.

Working Lights will be Mason Mabry, with Brody Perkins on sound and Brayden Hale on slide show.

A host of other students round out the various crews, including makeup and hair, set construction, house, publicity and photography and others.

General admission is $5. The doors will open 30 minutes before the show.
