Eldon Jacob Shrock, Beloved husband of Naomi (Hostetler) Shrock, was born on September 12,1940 to Russell and Edna Shrock at Sheffield, Illinois.
He passed away unexpectantly from a massive brain bleed on December 18, 2021, at the age of 81 years, 3 months, & 6 days at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison, Arkansas.
He accepted Christ as his personal Savior in his youth and was baptized, being a faithful member of the Bethel Amish Mennonite Church in Berryville, Arkansas until his death.
On September 10, 1961, he was united in marriage to Naomi (Hostetler) Shrock daughter of Ova and Mary Hostetler at the Fairfield Amish Mennonite Church in Tampico, Illinois, sharing the joys and sorrows of married life for over 60 years. This union was blessed with 8 children. 3 sons, Ronald (deceased), Neil and wife Beth of Berryville, AR, Royal and wife Kaylene of Green Forest, AR, 5 daughters, Rita and husband Dave Blosser of Halfway, MO, Judith and husband Gary Kropf of Berryville, AR, Debbie and husband Dale Hostetler, of Berryville, AR, Marcia and husband Bradley Hostetler of Wyandotte, OK, Gloria of Green Forest, AR. Also surviving are 31 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, 3 brothers, Walter (and wife June, deceased), Chester and wife Celesta, Reuben and wife Lily, 1 sister Verla (and husband Maynard, deceased), and 1 sister-in-law Loretta Kempf.
He was preceded in death by 1 son Ronnie, 1 granddaughter Brooklyn, 3 great grandchildren Malisa, Brandi, & Brayden, parents Russell and Edna, brothers Kenneth and wife Ethel, Clarence and wife Mary, and Oran Russell, sisters Lucille and husband Alvin Kempf, and Leona Mabel.
In 1982 they moved from Tampico, IL to Green Forest, AR where he resided at the time of his death. After moving to Arkansas, Eldon and his boys installed poultry equipment for approximately 10 years. They operated Das Butcher Haus for over 20 years, enjoying that occupation and making many friends during that time. In his retirement he enjoyed spending time in the garage working on various woodworking projects. Pop had a concern for the spiritual welfare of his family and church. Often commenting in his testimony that we need to be “Täter des Worts und nicht Hörer allein.”

Visitation was 2:00 p.m. til 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. til 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at the Bethel AM Church. Funeral service was 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at the Bethel AM Church. Memorial donations may be made to the Bethel AM Church, 849 CR 601, Berryville, AR 72616.
