BV volleyball shows signs of progress
It’s a rebuilding season for Berryville volleyball, with younger players getting plenty of time on the court with an eye toward the next couple of years.
With that in mind, coach Kristin Whetham isn’t focused as much on her team’s record as she is on the goal of improving as the season goes along.
And despite three losses last week, Whetham said she is seeing plenty of progress.
“We are getting better,” Whetham said Monday. And that's what I told them: We're getting a lot better. There's tons of improvement, a lot less mistakes that we are creating ourselves. … Looking back and watching game films, you can definitely see the progression. And every single game we have less and less mistakes.”
Berryville lost to perennial conference powerhouse Shiloh Christian on Monday, Sept. 13. The Lady Saints won 25-14, 27-25, 25-15. The following day, Farmington beat Berryville 25-12, 25-12, 25-20.
