Mary “Annie” Fields
Mary “Annie” Fields of Blue Eye, Missouri, was born January 8, 1943, in Redstar, Arkansas to Walter and Minnie (Bowen) Fields. Annie passed away August 25, 2021, in Branson, Missouri at the age of 78.
Annie was affectionately known by family and friends as Wiggins. She loved to garden and be outdoors, fish, hunt, and ride horses. Annie was not too fond of cooking but in later years she learned to bake biscuits and baked the best yeast rolls. Annie went to California early in life and worked at plant nurseries before returning to Arkansas She retired from Tyson Foods in 1995. Annie always said the nursery jobs were her favorites and she loved gardening and making things grow. She loved her family and would help anyone any way she could/
She is survived by her son Clayton Fields and wife Tiffney; three grandchildren Bailea, Zachary, and Nicholas of Blue Eye; sisters Dovie Fields of Green Forest, Evelyn Whiteley of Huntsville, Ellen Begley of Kingston; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Annie is preceded in death by her parents Walter and Minnie Fields; two brothers Jason and Joseph Fields; seven sisters Vida Bowen, Della Stoker, Lillie Eaton, Ruth Villines, Donna Hill, Iva Chambers, Juanita Roberts.
Pallbearers included are Clayton Fields, Jeff McCullough, Curtis Jenkins, Jake Fields, Andrew Roberts, Christopher Plumlee; honorary bearers included are Zachary Fields, Bailea Fields, Nicholas Fields, Josh, Amanda, Ashleigh, Alyssa and Denton McCullough.
Graveside services will be 10:00 am, Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at Reeves Cemetery with Pastor Larry Johnson officiating. Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society Foundation, Attn: Sarah Duffy, 250 Williams St, Atlanta, GA 30303. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
