Dorthy Rose Hickey
Dorthy Rose Hickey, age 87, of Golden, Missouri passed away Sunday, June 13, 2021 near Eagle Rock, Missouri.
She was born March 30, 1934 in Newkirk, New Mexico, the daughter of Edward and Eathel (Cones) Hedgecoke. On June 5, 1999 in Bentonville, Arkansas she was united in marriage to Max Hickey, who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Rusty Tinnin and his wife Elaine of Berryville, Arkansas and Charlie Tinnin and his wife Janet of Cutchogue, New York; one daughter, Pearl Brown and her husband Tom of Battlefield, Missouri; a grandson she raised, Ben Tinnin of Cassville, Missouri; two stepdaughters, Marilyn Bell and her husband Randy of Monett, Missouri and Bobbi Bradford and her husband Jerry of Bentonville, Arkansas; a stepson, Dale Hickey of Aurora, Missouri; three sisters, Betty Wafful of Syracuse, New York, Florence Rowell of Chandler, Arizona and Nancy Sutton and her husband Dell of Amarillo, Texas and several grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.
Dorthy grew up in New Mexico and graduated from high school in Fort Sumner, New Mexico. She moved from Harrison, Arkansas to Golden, Missouri in 1969. She was employed by the State of Missouri for thirty-five years as an Income Maintenance Worker. Some of her favorite pastimes were sewing and crocheting and she loved to paint pictures and rocks. Dorthy was of the Baptist faith and a member of the First Baptist Church of Golden.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her first husband, Roy M. Tinnin and an infant brother.
There are no services scheduled at this time. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
