Green Forest School District retiree reception

The Green Forest School District held a special reception Friday, May 28, 2021, at Tigers Stadium to honor its 2020 retirees. Attending the ceremony were (from left) superintendent Matt Summers; bus driver Beverly Cameron (19 years); high school social studies teacher Johnny Elmore (14); high school family consumer science teacher Joyce Fultz (50); high school math teacher Jim Goins (23) and his wife, Tammy; and fifth grade teacher Kim Allen (21). Not pictured are kindergarten teacher Vesta Barnes (21), athletic director and head football coach Bobby Bishop (5), middle school art teacher Tina Burns (16), elementary ESL teacher Karla Etchison (21), high school special education teacher Rebecca King (13), technical director Jim Poff (13), middle school social studies teacher Jennifer Roney (37), and high school Spanish teacher Jack White (16).

Attending the ceremony were (from left) bus driver and cafeteria worker Carol Snyder (14 years) and family; high school English teacher Sharon Laborde (5 years); high school chemistry teacher Jim Gibson (9 years); and elementary school teacher Lynette Jorgensen (37 years), along with her husband Mark and grandson Kincaid. Superintendent Matt Summers (rear) presented each teacher with a plaque recognizing them for their years of service to the school district. Not pictured are intermediate school counselor Kathy Poff (23 years) and middle school paraprofessional Linda Newberry (47 years).
