Buy-It-Now Sale returns to Berryville library

Tuesday, June 1, 2021

Yes, you heard right. Get ready to Buy-It-Now ... again!

This fundraiser sale was held in March at the Berryville Public Library and saw many of your unwanted items turn into must-have buys! Your decluttered space was a win but paled in comparison to the proceeds that went on to support the Berryville Library Building Project as it races toward the goal of building a new library!Just in case you are hesitant about whether your donated items can make a difference, digest this quote from the historian of the Friends organization and the brains behind the Buy-It-Now fundraiser, Carol Ann Engskov: “Your donations in March were great — now hunt your house, shed and storage bins for another fundraiser at the library

“The kids are out of school now and can attend the library summer programs, and Father’s Day is also on June 20!”

While in a frantic search for pen and paper, make a mental note that we want you to find items for children and dads to donate for our Buy-It-Now Sale, to be held from 9 a.m. 6 p.m. daily from June 14-18 at the Berryville Public Library. Think toys, games, books, golf items, crafts, tools and, of course, food that a kid would love or that would make a good gift for a dad. There will be $5, $10, and $20 items every day. For those who have lots of love to give via the kitchen, food items are for Thursday and Friday mainly but will be accepted on other days as well.

Donations will be accepted from June 1-June 10 and can be dropped off at the Berryville Library, 104 Spring St., or directly to Carol Ann at 201 N. Main St. Food can be donated on any day of the Buy-It-Now sale. Volunteers are also needed for the sale from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, June 17, and Friday, June 18. If there are any questions please call Carol Ann at 870-423-4857.

Don’t forget to plan a trip to the library every day the week of the auction to see what is on the table each day. Shop early each day for the best selection! Remember all proceeds support the Friends of the Library and their effort to build a new library for Berryville. If you haven’t already, become a member of the Friends and join their efforts in the community.
