Tuesday, April 13, 2021

The Green Forest Tigers got a bit of a challenge from Life Way Christian on Tuesday, April 6, but pulled out a 3-2 victory and went on to a big week.

The Tigers rolled past Arkansas Arts Academy on Thursday, April 8, winning 8-0, and then got perhaps their biggest victory of the season with a 4-0 win over Harrison on the Goblins’ home field.

Green Forest and Life Way Christian were tied at 1-1 at halftime of Tuesday’s game but the Tigers got second-half goals from Bluh Doh Soh and Emerson Ortiz to take a 3-1 lead in the second half. Ortiz had two goals for the game.

Against Arts Academy on Thursday, Ortiz and Lah Kpro scored two goals apiece and were joined in the scoring column by Collin Delavin, Pablo Leon, Blut Htoo and Izaak Merida.

The win over Harrison was a team effort, with the Tigers getting goals from Kpro, Ortiz, Pablo Leon and Gabriel Holland.

The Tigers will host three games this week — against Decatur on Tuesday, Lincoln on Thursday and Farmington on Friday for Senior Night.
