Soccer: Green Forest girls won’t let loss linger
The Green Forest Lady Tigers suffered their first loss of the season last Friday, falling 6-0 at Harrison.
Green Forest coach Ashley Wilson said the Lady Tigers were disappointed with the loss but hope to use it as a learning experience.
“Harrison is very good, and we knew they would be very good,” Wilson said. “Regardless, it was good practice and it was good for us. Of course, it never feels good to lose.”
Injuries didn’t help the Lady Tigers.
“We had a different team out there,” Wilson said. “Everyone still pushed hard, but we are better than that.”
The loss won’t linger, Wilson said.
“It’s a brand-new week,” she said. “We’re moving on. We kind of needed that experience to push us on to be better and stronger for the upcoming teams.”
Earlier last week, the Lady Tigers rolled to a 7-1 victory over Life Way Christian on Tuesday, April 6. Bianca Rosales scored three goals in the victory and Kimberly Lopez, Myndy Zamora and Marianna Beltran added one goal apiece for the Lady Tigers.
Green Forest will host Lincoln on Thursday. Senior Night will be Friday, when the Lady Tigers play at home against Farmington.
