Softball: Lady Bobcats drop 3 games

The Berryville Lady Bobcats dropped three games last week in softball action.

Gravette defeated Berryville 14-3 on Monday, April 5. The following day, Valley Springs scored two runs in the top of the sixth inning and held on to beat the Lady Bobcats 4-3. Clinton beat Berryville 12-0 on Thursday.

Lexi Woods and Macie Roy had two hits apiece in the loss to Gravette, with Faith Kelley driving in two runs for the Lady Bobcats. Woods scored twice and Roy also had an RBI for Berryville.

Berryville had 10 hits in the loss to Valley Springs and held a 3-2 lead before the Lady Tigers rallied. Woods, Roy and Ava O’Gorek each had two hits for the Lady Bobcats, who committed four errors.

Clinton jumped on Berryville early in Thursday’s game, scoring all 12 of its runs in the second inning. Kelley had the only two hits of the game for the Lady Bobcats.

This week, Berryville will host Farmington on Tuesday and Gentry on Thursday before playing at Rogers Heritage on Friday.
