Two escape with injuries in wreck on 187; 1 cited

EUREKA SPRINGS -- A two-vehicle accident on Arkansas Highway 187 sent two people to Eureka Springs Hospital Friday and resulted in a citation.
Both drivers were treated and released on Friday, hospital officials said.
According to state police Trooper Tom McLean, the accident occurred at about 1:27 p.m. Friday between Highway 23 North and the Elk Ranch community. A 1997 red Geo Prizm, going east and driven by Peggy Fox, 55, of Holiday Island, crossed the center line and struck a 2004 green Saturn Ion going west and driven by Nathan Crowder, 42, of Eureka Springs.
Both vehicles' airbags deployed and the driver's sides of both vehicles were heavily damaged. Both drivers were wearing seat belts, and conditions were dry and clear.
Crowder was transported by ambulance to Eureka Springs Hospital, and Fox, who initially refused transport, later requested it. Injuries were not reported to be serious.

Fox was cited with DWI, drug impairment, and for driving left of center. She told police she was on prescription drugs.
