Winner's of CCN Father's Day Photo Contest announced

"Daddy and Cam" submitted by Misty Larson won first place in the Carroll County News' Father's Day photo contest.

The first-ever Father's Day Photo Contest hosted by Carroll County News and The Lovely County Citizen concluded this week, with over 250 votes being cast by our readers to choose their favorite photo.

The first-place winner is Misty Larson, whose photo "Daddy and Cam" received the most votes.

The contest, which was free and open to everyone, aimed to celebrate Dads and their families throughout the Ozarks. Owing to the generosity of our sponsors, all those who submitted a photo to the contest will receive a prize.

More than a dozen local sponsors donated family-friendly gifts to the top vote-getters. The list of sponsors includes:

"We wanted to find sponsorship gifts that reflected the best Father's Day gift of all -- time with family," said Bob Moore, publisher of the two newspapers and related websites, and He added that this contest was the first of many online interactive features being introduced to readers of Carroll County News and The Lovely County Citizen newspapers and websites.

Prizes will be available to be picked up by the winners between 10am Monday, June 18 through 5pm June 20. Prize certificates can also be mailed to the winners if they call the newspaper office at (870) 423-6636 and inform us they prefer that option.

Note: Prize certificates will be redeemed directly with the sponsoring businesses, and some require advance registrations for reservations. Prizes have no cash value, and cannot be redeemed for cash. Prizes will have a minimum expiration date of 60 days from date announced; contact sponsor as soon as possible to redeem certificates before expiration.
