Marjorie I. Schneider
Marjorie I. Schneider of Berryville, AR, passed away in her home on October 31, 2011 at age 94. She was born on April 15, 1917 in Hanover, IN and lived on her grandparents rice farm east of Little Rock as a young child.
She returned to Arkansas when she retired to the farm south of Berryville that her parents bought over 70 years ago. While she lived most of her life in Tulsa, Chicago and New York, the farm near Berryville was always "home" to her. She had worked as a proof reader for Gannet News in Nyack, NY.
Marjorie was an active member of the Shiloh Methodist Church, teaching Sunday School for many years, and the Dry Fork Extension Homemakers' Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Taylor and Ruth Hutchings of Berryville; her husband, Sam Schneider; and her daughter, Kay Schneider of St. Louis.
She is survived by her daughter Camilla Schneider of San Francisco, CA; sons, S. Chris Schneider and Keith T. Schneider, both of Eugene, OR; and her granddaughter Adesina Cameron of Oakland, CA. All were present in her final days. Memorial contributions can be made to Habitat for Humanity.
