Gerald Loy McClelland
GERALD LOY McCLELLAND, 72, of Billings, Mo., died Dec. 4, 2007.
Mr. McClelland grew up near Eureka Springs and settled on a farm near Billings in 1967. He worked in bridge construction for 55 years, most of those as a crane operator. He retired from Burk Bridge Co. He was a longtime member of the operator's union, and attended First Baptist Church of Billings.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pat and Veva McClelland.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Oleta; a daughter, Peggy Haralson; two sons, Ben and Mark McClelland; a son-in-law, Bill Haralson; two daughters-in-law, Lisa and Robin McClelland; five grandchildren, Dana Gold and her husband Scott, Jessica Bengsch, and Reese, Devin and Hayden McClelland; three great-grandsons, Wyatt, Peyton, and Quentin Gold, all of Billings; four brothers, Lynn McClelland and wife Shirley of Nixa, Mo., Bill McClelland and wife Judy of Eureka Springs, John McClelland and wife Rita of Seligman, Mo., and Larry McClelland and wife Diane of Eureka Springs; two sisters, Irene Boyer and husband Ken of Casa Grande, Ariz., and Marge Rice of Casa Grande; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and their spouses, Andy Howerton and Marilyn of Nixa, Theo and Madelene Jackson of Eureka Springs, and Nora Marshall of Ozark, Mo.; three aunts; many nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held Dec. 7, 2007, at Meadors Funeral Home, Republic, Mo. Interment followed at Rose Hill West Cemetery in Billings.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Billings Teachers Relay for Life/American Cancer Society Team, in care of the Bank of Billings.
