Robert C. Kneff
ROBERT C. KNEFF, 90, of Scranton, Pa., died Dec. 28 at his home following a long illness. Born in Pittsburgh, Pa., he was the son of the late Clinton W. and Dorothy (Wright) Kneff.
Prior to his retirement, he was a pastor, belonging to the Independent Fundamental Churches of America. His most recent pastorate was Calvary Bible Church in Green Forest, and Faith Independent Baptist Church of Logan, W.Va.
For several years he was dean of men at Southland Bible Institute in Pikeville, Ky. During his time of ministry he spent seven years in mission work at Rehoboth Mountain Mission neear Jackson, Ky. During his retirement years he helped in maintenance at Northlake Christian School in Covington, La. He was a member of the Grace Bible Church in Dunmore, Pa.
He is survived by a daughter, R. Dorothy "Dorrie" Cagley of Scranton, with whom he lived; a brother, James Kneff of Venetia, Pa; one granddaughter, Susan Cagley of Scranton; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Ruby Ott Kneff, who died in 1982, and his second wife, Dorothy Geary Kneff, who died in 1999; by his brother Jack Neff and son-in-law D. Michael Cagley.
A memorial service will be condicted on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. in Grace Bible Church, 130 University Dr., Dunmore, Pa.
