Elsie Mae Bozworth
Elsie Mae Bozworth, 78, of Cassville, Mo., died Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2002, at Beverly Health Care in Rogers.
She was born Jan. 22, 1924, in Pana, Ill., daughter of Zimry E. and Edna M. (Gelsinger) Low. She grew up in Illinois, where she graduated from Charleston State Teachers College. She taught in the Vandalia School System in Illinois for many years.
On March 10, 1945, in Edwardsville, Ill., she married John Melvin Bozworth. Together they owned and operated a dairy farm in Fort Scott, Kan., and received the K.G.E. Agriculture award. She was a member of the Federated Club for many years. In 1972, they moved to Cassville, where they were members of the First Baptist Church, and she was a member of the Naomi Ruth Sunday School Class.
Her husband preceded her in death on May 19, 1995. She was also preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Bernice Wright; and two brothers, Cecil and Delmer Low.
Survivors include a niece, Diane Haskins of Fontana, Calif., and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, Oct. 12, at Williamson Funeral Home, Cassville, with Pastor Bob Gaddis officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery, Cassville.
