Donna Sue Goade
Donna Sue Goade, 61, of Cassville, Mo., died Monday, Aug. 26, 2002, in South Barry County Hospital, Cassville.
She was born July 24, 1941, in Cassville, daughter of Boyd and Dessie (Woody) Dryer. She graduated from Cassville High School in 1959.
On June 21, 1959, at the First Baptist Church in Cassville, she married James Earl Goade. They moved to Kansas City, and over the years, they also lived in Springfield, Mo.; McPherson, Kan., where they owned and operated a shoe store; and Dallas, Texas, where they supervised area convenience stores. In 1991, they moved back to Cassville, to the house where she was raised.
Mrs. Goade was a member of the First Baptist Church in Cassville, where she enjoyed her Sunday School class. She was an avid reader; she liked raising flowers; and she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, James Earl Goade; two sons and their wives, Joe and Brigitte Goade of Union City, Tenn., and Mark and Donna Goade of Otterville, Mo.; six grandchildren; a sister and her husband, Evelyn and Verdayne Riddle of Cassville; and other relatives, friends and neighbors.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Barbara and Helen.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, Aug. 29, at Williamson Funeral Home, Cassville, with the Rev. John Duncan officiating. Burial followed in Oak Hill Cemetery, Cassville.
