Tanaka, YANKEES look to bounce back from injuries in 2015

TAMPA, Fla. -- New York Yankees starting pitcher Masahiro Tanaka says he is ready for 2015 after suffering a partial tear of his right ulnar collateral ligament last July.
"I feel it's healed," Tanaka said via his interpreter earlier today. "I'm confident that I can get through this season."
"I think I kind of know what to expect, the rhythm and flow of things now, just by having the experience of a full season last year," Tanaka said about his feel for the MLB now. "Baseball-wise and just everyday-life-wise, I think I'm a little bit more used to it than last year."
Manager Joe Girardi feels good about where Tanaka is now. "It hasn't been any different," Girardi said. "He's where he would be pretty much on a normal spring. We've had no stipulations on what he can do and what he can't do."
Before his injury, Tanaka posted a record of 13-5 with an ERA of 2.77.
