Patrick Robinson and Donovan Jones, student artists at the Opera in the Ozarks visited the First Christian Church in Berryville last Sunday and joined in worship by rendering two much loved hymns for a very appreciative congregation. Inviting guest singers from the Opera in the Ozarks is an annual tradition for First Christian Church, which also provides honorariums for the student artists.
Patrick Robinson is a tenor studying voice at the University of Houston Texas. Donovan Jones is a music student at Western Missouri State University in St. Joseph, Missouri. Donovan specializes in piano and is also a gifted tenor. Donovan accompanied Patrick who sang How Great Thou Art and Come Thou Almighty King.. The Opera in the Ozarks at Inspiration Point has provided opportunities for students and lovers of opera since 1950. During the 2013 season the Opera presents Madam Butterfly, L'elisir d'amore, and The Pirates of Penzance. Tickets are on sale now and opening night is on Friday, June 21st.
