Raymond Herman Backs of Berryville, Arkansas was born March 24, 1928, to Andrew and Zetta (Brisbois) Backs in Escanaba, Michigan. Raymond passed away February 24, 2023, in Berryville at the age of 94.

He started his career in 1956 as a barber and continued for 60 years. Raymond was also an artist where he would paint and do woodcarving.

Raymond is survived by his children, Mary Ann Miller of Southaven, Michigan, Sharon Byrne of Grove, Oklahoma, Andrew Backs and wife Kim of Berryville, Darrell Backs and wife Lisa of Berryville, Dale Backs of Berryville; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends. He is preceded by his parents, Andrew and Zetta Backs; former wife, Peggy Backs; 1st wife, Betty Dwyer; brother, James Backs; sister, Jeanne Sawyer.

Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 11, 2023, at Berryville Memorial Park Cemetery in Berryville.
