Four county nonprofits receive American Rescue Plan grants
Four Carroll County nonprofits are the recipients of the American Rescue Plan grant program.
The Eureka Springs Historical Museum received $24,840 for general operating costs, the Carroll County Youth Literacy Rotary Foundation received $10,500 for general operating costs, strategic planning and capacity building, the Saunders Memorial Museum in Berryville received $25,000 for general operating costs and the Berryville Public Library received $7,058 in general operating costs.
The American Rescue Plan aims to provide funding to respond to and recover from the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Organizations such as museums, libraries, archives, historic sites, historical societies and other cultural nonprofits with a humanities-based mission were eligible for the program. Funds were awarded to help with operating costs such as salaries and wages, internet service, rent, lease or mortgage payments and insurance, as well as strategic planning and capacity building for recovery efforts.
