The Green Forest Tigers had one of their basketball seasons in several years, advancing to the regional tournament.

The team’s success also led to some individual honors, as senior Daniel McDonald and junior Jordan McLoud were named to the 3A-1 West all-conference team. Senior Adrian Serna earned honorable mention all-conference honors.

McDonald averaged 18 points and more than six rebounds a game for the Tigers. McDonald scored 28 points in an overtime victory at Lincoln in the district tournament that clinched the regional tournament trip for the Tigers.

“He was our go-to guy this year,” said coach Shane Compton, who earlier this year was honored as the conference’s coach of the year.

Junior Jordan McLoud was Green Forest's leading rebounder and was named to the all-conference team.

McLoud averaged eight points and seven rebounds a game for the Tigers.

McLoud had seven points and 13 rebounds in the district tournament win over Lincoln and scored nine points in the regional tournament game against Waldron. He had 15 rebounds in a game against Mountain View in January.

“He had a really good year,” Compton said. “He played really well against Waldron in the regional tournament.”

Senior Adrian Serna was Green Forest's top three-point shooter, making 37 shots from behind the arc, and also led the team with 13 charges taken. He earned honorable mention all-conference honors.
