BV couple survives domestic shooting
A Berryville couple remains in stable condition after being shot multiple times during an apparent domestic disturbance in Huntsville on March 13.
According to a news release issued by the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, the shooting occurred at approximately 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 13, when Sharon and Bobby Stout of Berryville were visiting the Huntsville residence of Michael Fawcett, 39.
The Stouts were transported separately by an Air Evac Lifeteam helicopter and an ambulance to a local hospital for treatment, while deputies searched for Fawcett, the alleged shooter.
Fawcett was apprehended nearly eight hours later and was booked into the Madison County Holding Facility on two counts of attempted capital murder, one count of child endangerment and one count of theft by receiving. Fawcett was later transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where he is being held on a $1 million bond.
According to reports, Sharon Stout and her husband were at the residence attempting to collect children’s clothing from Fawcett, her ex-husband, when the shooting occurred.
Lt. Russell Alberts of the Madison County Sheriff’s Office said the investigation was ongoing and no other details were available at this time.
