Shaw named CEO of Eureka Springs Hospital
The Eureka Springs Hospital has a new CEO.
At a special called meeting on Thursday, March 18, the Eureka Springs Hospital Commission voted to appoint Angie Shaw to the position. Shaw has served as interim CEO since September 2020, appointed after the commission voted to cut ties with Alliance Management Group. Before being named interim CEO, Shaw served as the acting director of nursing at the hospital.
The commission held four special meetings on March 18 to come to its decision, with three special meetings devoted to interviewing the final applicants.
The commission voted to appoint Shaw after discussing the applicants for 50 minutes in executive session.
Commissioner Kent Butler moved to offer Shaw the position of chief executive offer at a salary starting at $125,000 and the motion passed 5-1. Jean Reed was the lone dissenting vote.
The commissionís next regular meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday, April 19, at The Aud.
