Pitching helps Bobcats get W over Tigers

The Berryville Bobcats got solid pitching and took advantage of some defensive miscues by the Green Forest Tigers for a 12-4 victory on Friday, March 19.
Berryville pitchers Chris Hipps and Ashton Blok had a combined 13 strikeouts with five walks and held Green Forest to a total of six hits.
Hipps worked the first four innings, striking out eight batters and leaving with a 5-2 lead.
Isaac Weston had a big day at the plate for Berryville, going 2-for-3 with a double, two runs batted in and three runs scored. Hipps and Jace Walker added two hits apiece for the Bobcats.
Isaac Demeyer had two of the six hits for Green Forest, which committed five errors.
Berryville scored four runs in the top of the fifth inning to extend its lead to 9-2.
Green Forest will play at Bergman on Monday, March 29. Berryville will be back in action on Tuesday, March 30, hosting Harrison.
