William “Bill” Laban Allred, age 96 of Berryville, AR, passed away from this life into eternity on January 18, 2021 in Berryville, AR. He was born September 27, 1924 in Rule, AR to Lena McKinney Allred and Henry Hubbert Allred.
Bill worked as a mail carrier, auctioneer including 69 years at the Carroll County Fairgrounds 4-H auctions, several years at Carroll County Newspaper, and as a farmer. In his free time he enjoyed caring for his cattle, brush hogging, and maintaining his farm. Bill also enjoyed going to the sale barn in Green Forest on Wednesdays. He loved going to the Ozark Café and visiting with friends where he would enjoy drinking coffee and eating biscuits and gravy, and of course, pie and ice cream. He most enjoyed spending time with his family and especially all his grandkids who called him “Po”. He was a member of the Moore Church where he faithfully attended for as long as he was able. Bill was also listed in the National Guards and served in the Korean War.
Bill is survived by his daughter, Linda Allred Deatherage of Berryville, son, Larry Allred of Berryville and sister, Laverta Colvin of Berryville. Granddaughters Shawna Biddle of Wrightsville, Misty Larson and husband Danny of Shell Knob, Lacey Powell and husband Kirk III of Green Forest, Leslie Zogleman of Berryville, and Kim Deatherage of Berryville. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren: Alex Alvis, Shayley and Kaden Sams, Camden Larson, Michael and Justin Chapin, Kirklyn IV and Dane Powell, Billy Jack Butler and Mason Zogleman. And 2 great great twin granddaughters, Kynlee and Greyson Chapin.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents Hubbert and Lena Allred, wives Helen Harp Allred and Lorraine Curtis Allred, sister Erma Lou Molder, and infant brother.
Visitation will be 9:00 am till 10:00 am, Friday, January 22, 2021 at Moore Church. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 10:00 am at Moore Church, outside of Berryville with Bro. Larry Montgomery and Bro. Bradley Clark officiating. Interment will follow at the Moore Cemetery.
