Tigers pick up pair of wins

The Green Forest Tigers were back at full strength for a road game at Greenland on Tuesday, Dec. 15, and it showed.

Four Green Forest players had at least 10 points as the Tigers rolled to a 66-49 victory in 3A-1 conference play.

Junior center Jordan McLoud led Green Forest with 16 points, including 10 in the first quarter. Sophomore guard Ali Cabrera and senior forward Daniel McDonald added 15 points apiece and senior forward Adrian Serna added 10.

Green Forest made eight three-pointers, including five by Cabrera.

The Tigers were scheduled to host West Fork on Friday but that game was canceled because of COVID-19 concerns for West Fork. Instead, Green Forest hosted Salem and came away with another victory, winning 51-33.

McDonald scored 22 points against West Fork, including nine in the third quarter. Serna added 11 and McLoud had nine for the Tigers.

Green Forest hosted Cedarville on Monday at the Grim Gym.
