Bob Armer, age 86, of Berryville, Ark. passed away in his home on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2020. He was born July 5, 1934 in Kingston, Ark. to the late James Harrison Armer and Mellie (Bradshaw) Armer.
On Feb. 11, 1960 he married the love of his life, Romona (Howard) Armer. Bob received an honorable discharge form the U.S. Army in January of 1963.While living in California he worked as a school bus driver, truck driver and dozer operator. He and Romona moved to Arkansas, bought a farm in the Metalton community and raised broilers for Tysons. He was a Jack of all trades, loved carpenter work and spending time tinkering and fixing any and everything. Bob was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother.
He is survived by his wife, Romona of the home; son, Bobby Armer and wife Christi of Metalton; daughter, Robin Davis and husband David Vaughn of Metalton; grandchildren, Brandy Davis Hall and husband Jared, Kandra Davis Ness and husband Robbie, Hastey, Cheyenne, Jake and Cayman Armer; great-grandchildren, Jackson and Jocee Ness and Elaura Hall; mother and father-in-law, Delbert and Doris Usrey Howard; brother, Louis Armer and wife Juanita of California; sister-in-law, Patsy Logue from Berryville and brother-in-law, Gary Howard and wife Loretta of Rudd.
Besides his parents he is also preceded in death by a brother, Loyd Armer; sister, Jannetta Armer Madewell; sister-in-law, Roberta Howard Ellis and brother-in-law, Jeffery Howard.
Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2020 at Gobbler Cemetery with Pastor Greg Lentz officiating and interment following. Services by Smith Family Funeral Home of Green Forest.
