Warren Tresler

Warren Lewis Tresler of Berryville passed away Friday October 2nd, 2020 at his

home with family. He was born November 6th,1937 to Glen Lewis and Vera May

(Crawford) Tresler in Denver Colorado.

Warren joined the army in 1956 where he served for 2 years. He wanted to travel

the world, but unfortunately, he never left the United States serving his enlisted

time stationed at Fort Sam in Houston,Texas. After serving in the military he was

united in marriage to Verna Fay Oleson of South Dakota, the mother of his four

children (Vera Faye, Juliana, Pamela and Warren Jr). He worked for Ralston

Purina for a number of years while living in Iowa.

He was later united in marriage to Lorene LaVone Fultz, the mother of his five

stepchildren (Debrah, Harold, John, Willard and Louella). During this time, he

worked for the City of Berryville for over 28 years. He worked in all capacities

while at the City Works Department. He took great pride in his work and set an

example for others that he worked with.

He was always ready to go fishing whether fishing from shore, by boat or wading.

Unfortunately, his declining health had limited his ability to fish. But his grandson, Joe, was able to take him on his last fishing trip in 2019. He was a member of the Mercy Auxiliary for 21 years (logging 4,200 hours of service) and volunteered at Loaves and Fishes food bank twice a week for six years. He would often visit Autumn Hill nursing home once a week, enjoying coffee and visiting with the residents after working his shift at the hospitalís front desk. He wrote articles for the Historical Society, having a vast knowledge of historical places in and around Berryville and of events. He truly enjoyed visiting with people. He took great pride in his yard and was an avid gardener. He was always willing to learn new things and to teach a person new things.

He is survived by three of his children - Juliana Tresler of the home, Pamela

Anderson of Russel, AR and Warren Tresler Jr (Carla) of David City NE, 10

grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and one unborn great grandson, five step

children - Debrah (Roger) Roberts of Berryville, Harold Fultz of Berryville, John

(Nancy) Fultz of Berryville, Dale (Shelly) Fultz of Kingston, AR, Louella (Dale)

Styles of Kingston, AR, 10 step grandchildren, 8 step great grandchildren, brother

Sam (Linda) of Berryville, sisters Patricia Gage and Glenna Weaver both of

Bentonville, AR along with several nieces and nephews.

He is proceeded in death by his parents Glen and Vera Tresler, daughter Vera Faye

Malotte, brotherís Maurice and Lawrence, wivesí Verna and Lorene and grandson

Michael Tresler.

Visitation will be 5:00 pm till 7:00 pm, Friday, October 9, 2020 at Charles M.

Nelson Memorial Chapel in Berryville. Graveside services will be 10:00 am,

Saturday, October 10, 2020 at Gobbler Cemetery with Brother Greg Lentz

officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
