Mary Ann Armstrong (née Janssen), lovingly known as “Faffy”, passed from this life and into the Lord’s arms on Monday, September 21, 2020.
The daughter of William and Ruth Janssen, Mary was born June 13, 1951 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. From childhood, she liked to play nurse, so it was no surprise that she chose that profession. She loved nursing and the patients from whom she cared.
Mary Ann was a woman of great faith and loved her community at Harvest Assembly Church. She enjoyed boating, swimming, cooking, and her dog, Blue. She laughed easily, had a great sense of humor, and found joy in telling stories.
There is the family we are born into and then there are the people who enter our lives and become our family. Mary was blessed to be loved by and will be greatly missed by Brenda Clark and her son Newt and family. They were part of Mary’s life for over 20 years and lovingly cared for her during her illness. She is also loved and survived by her sisters Joy Janssen of Santa Barbara, California and Barbara Andrews of East Troy, Wisconsin as well as her nieces Tana Kubricky and Rebecca Nelson.
A Celebration of Life Service will be 6:00 p.m., Monday, September 28 ,2020 at Harvest Assembly in Oak Grove, Arkansas, with Pastor Todd Rogers officiating.
