Everett Lewis Henderson, age 62, of Berryville, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville.
The son of Paul Everett and Ethel Louise (Smith) Henderson was born in Harrison on July 28, 1958. He was a lifelong resident of Boone and Carroll Counties and a 1976 graduate of Alpena High School. He worked at Tysons until his health no longer permitted.
He was a sports fanatic and loved watching sports on TV, especially the Arkansas Razorbacks and Kansas City Chiefs. In his youth, Everett enjoyed playing basketball. He was a gentle giant who loved his family passionately. He was also a big joker and loved to "rib" his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a baby sister, Reba; a brother, Troy Henderson; two nephews, Nathan King and Cory Henderson; and two brothers-in-law, Don Smith and Donnie King.
Everett is survived by his sisters, Glenda Henderson of Berryville, Nina King of Batavia, Betty Holt of Harrison and Diane Taylor of Batavia; his nieces and nephews, Crystal King, Candida Slechta, Michael Holt and Jarod Holt; his great nieces and great nephew, Shaelea Kilgore, Kylie Jo Kilgore and Ethan Slechta and a host of cousins, extended relatives and friends who loved him and will miss him.
Graveside memorial service will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, September 26 at Crossroads Cemetery in Deer, with Rev. Phillip Collie officiating.
