The Eureka Springs Farmers Market has a new sign thanks to vendors Jason and Lily Kees, who worked with a local printing company to create the sign. Jason milled the cedar and spent the morning putting them up.

The Eureka Springs Farmers Market joins farmers markets across the country to celebrate National Farmers Market Week from Aug. 2-8. To help celebrate the occasion, the farmers market will have several drawings for prizes. These will be held on Thursday, Aug. 6, at noon at the market.

Founded in 2004, the farmers market hosts 15 farmers/artisans from a two-county radius of Carroll County, selling a wide variety of products including fresh seasonal produce, eggs, beef, cut flowers, honey, baked goods, jams and quality handcrafted wood items. The market continues to seek new vendors to meet customers’ needs.

This year, the market worked to meet new challenges of protecting the health and safety of the community with new COVID-19 protocols while dealing with revenue shortage because of the limitations on the products permitted at the market during quarantine. In the past, the market has provided coffee, music and a place to sit and visit with friends, as well as special events, but is unable to do so this year with COVID-19 guidelines in place.

The Eureka Springs Farmers Market operates every Thursday at the Eureka Springs Community Center at 44 Kingshighway from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information, visit
