A Berryville man was arrested late Friday night after allegedly stabbing another man during an argument.
David Nicholas Laborde, 38, was booked into the Carroll County Detention Center at 12:36 a.m. Saturday on charges of attempted capital murder and first-degree terroristic threatening.
Maj. Jerry Williams, chief deputy for the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, said a Berryville police officer arrested Laborde at 11:53 p.m. Friday and brought him to the detention center. The jail’s intake log indicates Laborde was arrested at the intersection of East Carl Avenue and South Springfield Street.
“He was involved in an incident over around the library/senior center area,” Berryville Police Chief David Bartos said. “He got involved in an altercation with an acquaintance of his and he ended up stabbing the guy. He left the scene and he was picked up a few blocks over.”
Bartos said the stabbing victim was released from the hospital on Saturday.
