Alice Jean (Randall) Allenbrand, 84, of Olathe, Kansas passed away of natural causes on Sunday, March 29, 2020. According to her wishes, Alice asked to be cremated. A “Celebration of Life” will take place at a later date, due to the circumstances of the Covid-19. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a Humane Society or Elderly Care Program of your choice. www.humanesociety.org, / www.carrollmadisonlibraries.org Alice was born on May 23, 1935 in Baker, Oregon to Roy John and Alma Jean (Stolemaker) Randall. Later, the family moved to De Soto, Kansas where she attended and graduated from De Soto High School.
She married Gary Allenbrand in 1956. They lived briefly in Florida before moving back to the Gardner/Olathe community where they raised their four children. During that time she was a devoted homemaker, paraprofessional and enjoyed spending her leisure time as a hobbyist. She loved reading and writing, and has written a few short stories and articles. In 1982 she moved to Florida and from there became a caregiver for the sick and elderly. She did a lot of traveling throughout the country in her RV. She had also traveled to Israel. Before moving back to Olathe, she lived in Berryville, Arkansas for seven years. Her passion was the Lord and caring for the sick. Alice is preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Alma Randall, her sister, Sally Allenbrand and her brother, Jim Randall. She is survived by her four children, Kim Tubbs and her husband Jack, Kerri Pitts and her companion (Dave Caruthers), Kati Sulzberger and her husband Kevin and Kip Allenbrand. Left behind to cherish her memory are her eight grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Alice will be sadly missed by her beloved Chihuahua, “Mysty”. She is also survived by her two sisters, Nancy Kinsey and Becky Padrick both in Florida.
