In memory of board member Billy J. Batson, Equity Bank has donated $1,000 each to the Eureka Springs Rotary Club and the Writers’ Colony at Dairy Hollow.  The donation to Rotary will be earmarked for Rotary’s upcoming 100th anniversary community project while the Writers’ Colony donation will be earmarked for needs-based scholarships granted in celebration of the Colony’s 20th anniversary.

“Bill made a huge impact on this community by always quietly doing the right thing, giving generously of all he had and modeling fair and equal treatment for all,” said Elizabeth Kelley, Equity Bank president.

Further memorial donations to either charity are encouraged and can be made at the Equity Bank location in Eureka Springs or directly to each charity.
