The Mercy Hospital Berryville Auxiliary recently voted to purchase two bariatric wheelchairs for Mercy Hospital Berryville.

A bariatric wheelchair is a heavy-duty or extra-wide wheelchair with extra weight capacity, reinforced cross braces and various other design features to ensure extra support and durability.

One chair will be assigned to Med/Surg with the other chair to ER.

The auxiliary holds various bake sales and collective goods sales as well as other fundraisers during the year to add to the income from the in-house gift shop and the newly relocated and reopened Thrift Store in order to provide equipment and services for Mercy Hospital Berryville.

Adults and teens who are interested in volunteering and becoming members are encouraged to contact auxiliary liaison Deana Davidson at 870-423-5230.
