Berryville wrestlers hold their own

The Berryville High School wrestling team competed in the Mountain Home Bomber Battle on Friday and Saturday.
Berryville finished fourth in the team standings behind Conway, Greenbrier and Mountain Home, all of whom compete in higher classifications.
Berryville was led by senior standout Colton Record, a defending state champion who won all five of his matches by pin to win the 285-pound championship and run his season record to 22-0.
Sophomore Caleb Record, also a defending state champion, won the 113-pound championship by winning all four of his matches by pin.
At 126 pounds, junior Dominic Henry bounced back from a first-round loss to win his final four matches and take second place. Henry, a state champion last season at 113 pounds, won two matches by pin and two by decision.
Senior Brett Parsons finished second at 145 pounds, winning two matches by pin and a third by decision to reach the final.
Also for Berryville, Dominic Alvarado took fourth place at 106 pounds, Dylan Sperduto was fourth at 132 pounds, Carlos Escobar was eighth at 152 pounds, Tun Oo was fifth at 160 and Hayden Keith was seventh at 170.
On the girls side, Berryville senior Daniela Villegas took second place at 132 pounds. After losing her first match by decision, Villegas won her next two by pin.
Berryville competed in a dual meet Monday in Springdale against Shiloh Christian and Bentonville West.
