Balanced Tigers turn back Lincoln

Junior Daniel McDonald scored 15 points to lead three Green Forest players in double figures on Thursday as the Tigers defeated Lincoln 57-46 in the Anstaff Holiday Tournament at the Grim Gym.

Senior Micah Hutchison made four three-pointers and scored 12 points while junior Adrian Serna added 10 points for Green Forest.

The Tigers shot 40 percent from three-point range, making eight of 20 shots from long range. Five players made at least one three-pointer for Green Forest.

Sophomore Jordan McLoud had team highs with eight rebounds and five assists for the Tigers, who trailed 15-14 after the first quarter but rallied for a 26-20 halftime lead. Green Forest led 42-32 after three quarters.

The win was the second of the season for Green Forest, which went on to lose to Omaha 53-25 in a tournament game Saturday.

McDonald scored 15 points in that game for the Tigers (2-8).

Green Forest was scheduled to host Eureka Springs on Monday, but the games were canceled because of threatening weather.
