The Green Forest Lady Tigers are a work in progress and there will be some bumps along the way, coach Kyle Farrar acknowledges.

One of those bumps was a 48-16 home loss to Elkins on Nov. 19. Afterward, Farrar said it’s the kind of game that can help Green Forest improve.

“The kids have got to learn what pressure is like,” he said.

Elkins dominated the inside and shut down the Green Forest offense.

“They’ve got two really big, really athletic girls and we just couldn’t do anything at all,” Farrar said. “The kids played hard.”

Maddie Youngblood scored nine points to lead Green Forest.

Farrar said the Lady Tigers will continue to work to improve.

“We’re trying to break it down and work on the things that we can fix,” he said. “We’re just going to keep working. They come in every day ready to work and try to get better.”
