Frightfully Fun: Halloween events planned throughout county

Carroll County organizations are hosting some spooky events for the whole family to celebrate Halloween.
The Green Forest Cowboy Church will hold its fall festival starting at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, with games, chili and treats.
The following events will all be held on Thursday:
The Green Forest United Methodist Church will have a Trunk or Treat at 6 p.m.
There will be several Trick or Treat events in Berryville, including First Christian Church from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Autumn Hill Therapy & Living Center from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Harter House from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m and the Berryville Square from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Church on the Hill Assembly of God will kick off its four-night event featuring Todd Keene and the Power Team at 6 p.m. with hot dogs, candy and entertainment. There will also be a “Pup Crawl,” a pet costume contest for dogs and cats on the square. Freeman Heights Baptist Church will have a Fall Festival from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., which will include fair food and booths for kids to play games and get candy. Southern Heights Baptist Church will have a Fall Harvest Carnival and will serve chili, hot dogs and soup at 6 p.m. Living Faith Church on Highway 221 North will have an indoors event from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with hot dogs, candy and games. Hometown Scoop, on the Berryville Square, will hold its second annual costume contest with prizes and giveaways from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
In Eureka Springs, the Academy of Excellence will host a Fall Carnival from 5 to 7 p.m., which will include games, prizes and carnival food. The Eureka Springs Community Center will partner with Good Shepherd Humane Society to offer the Howl-O-Ween Spooktacular from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. There will be a costume contest for kids and dogs, with registration slated from 5 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The pup costume line starts at 5:45 p.m. and the kids costume line starts at 6 p.m. There will be an award ceremony at 6:30 p.m.
