The Berryville City Council voted Tuesday night to rezone a parcel of real property at 706 Park Street from R-1 Single-Family Residential to R-O Residential/Office zone.

The council discussed possible uses of the property, including turning it into a duplex, office space or daycare. Mayor Tim McKinney said making it an R-O zone would open up many possibilities for the house, which would allow it to become an office. The property could also be used for residential purposes, McKinney said.

In other business, McKinney presented the idea of using the solar energy provider Entegrity. He said the Green Forest School District just approved an agreement with the business. The program works with businesses, government and educational institutions to help them save money on their electric bill, McKinney said.

McKinney said the council might have a representative from Entegrity at its next meeting, so the council members should come prepared with questions.

The Berryville City Councilís next regular meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, at City Hall.
