BV golfers win on home course

The Berryville boys golf team got a tournament victory on Thursday, Sept. 12, topping Kingston and Eureka Springs at the Carroll County Country Club.

Berryville shot a 281, followed by Kingston at 303 and Eureka Springs at 334.

Berryville’s Nate Allen was the individual medalist with an 81. Eureka Springs’ Levi Crider and Marshall’s Blayn Harness tied for second at 94, one shot ahead of Berryville’s D.J. Colbert.

Brandon Robinson and Jack Dignan each shot 105 for Berryville.

For Eureka Springs, Matthew Lester finished at 118 with Kegley Ertel at 122. Hayden Bullock shot 134.

Green Forest had two golfers in the tournament. Alex Kilbourn shot 119, with Jacob Zimmerman at 127.

Elkins had one golfer compete.

On the girls side, no school fielded a full team. Eureka Springs’ Katelyn Ross shot the low round of 89. Berryville’s Emma Hall finished at 115. Green Forest’s Leah Evans shot 129, three shots ahead of teammate Katie Farrar’s 132.

On Tuesday, Sept. 10, Berryville played in a four-team tournament at Harrison Country Club.

The Bobcats finished third in the boys team standings with a score of 155. Allen shot a 45, followed by Colbert at 51. Dignan and Robinson each shot 59.

On the girls side, Hall shot a 56 and teammate Ava O’Gorek added a 71.
