Lost fumbles costly for Junior Bobcats

Turnovers are a football team’s worst nightmare, and they proved costly last week for the Berryville Junior Bobcats.
Berryville lost four fumbles, including two in the red zone in the second half, and lost 14-12 to visiting West Fork on Thursday, Sept. 5.
“I thought we played pretty well defensively,” Berryville coach Derrek Aynes said. “They just had two plays that they got us on. The four fumbles killed us.”
David Tapia led Berryville’s offense with 98 yards rushing on nine carries. Nick Utt added 45 yards and a touchdown on eight carries, and Chris Hipps had three carries for 10 yards and a TD.
