Get registered and vote!

Friday, August 30, 2019

Will you vote in the 2020 election? Our democracy is struggling right now. We are a divided country. Many people don’t care about their voice in our democracy — they don’t vote. Our freedoms come with a price — it is a duty to vote! A democracy works only if its people participate.

If you are not registered to vote, please do so. This can be done at the County Clerk’s office in the Carroll County Courthouse. At many upcoming  community events (such as the Carroll County Fair) there will be a table set up to register voters. If you are registered, please take the time to go to  voterview.org.  to check that your information is correct. If you have moved or changed your name, you will need to update your information.

I challenge each of you to check with family members. Are they registered? Young people are our future. But our young people are not voting. Why? If the reason is disinterest, then where will our country be in 20 years? No excuse is good enough to not support our country. Please take these people to register to vote.

There is Hope in change.

Change takes all of us.
