Carroll County golfers in action

All three Carroll County golf teams were in action Aug. 19, playing nine holes in Holiday Island.

Berryville finished second in boys’ action with a team score of 150, four strokes behind Cotter.

Individually, the Bobcats were led by Nate Allen’s 44, which tied for the lowest round of the day overall. D.J. Colbert followed with a 45 while Brandon Robinson shot 58 and Jack Dignan carded a 60.

Eureka Springs shot a team score of 186, led by Levi Crider’s 53. Kegly Ertel shot a 59. Dominic Baracosa shot 64, followed by Haden Bullock at 69.

Green Forest’s Alex Kilbourn recorded a 58, while teammate Jacob Zimmerman shot 64.

On the girls’ side, Eureka Springs’ Katelyn Ross fired a 46, 13 shots better than her closest competitor. Teammate Shelby Little added a round of 68.

Berryville’s Ava O’Gorek shot 65 and Emma Hall added a 66 for the Lady Bobcats.

Green Forest’s Katie Farrar shot a 68, followed by teammate Leah Evans’ 71.

Berryville’s golfers were back in action on Aug. 22, playing 18 holes at The Creeks in Cave Springs.

Allen led the Berryville boys with an 89, while Colbert shot 103 and Dignan finished at 117.

O’Gorek shot 133 on the girls side, followed by Hall at 137.
