Betty and Cletus Hall of Berryville recently celebrated their 80th wedding anniversary. Their family and many of their friends attended a lovely reception, Sunday, July 21, held at the Carroll Electric Community Room.†Those who gathered enjoyed an excellent luncheon while a video played showing the Hallsí life together. Betty and Cletus Hall were married July 21, 1939, at the old courthouse on the Berryville Square by Justice of the Peace Charles Schultz.

They began married life in a log cabin on Pension Mountain which they built. After living the early years of their marriage, the family moved to California, living in the Salinas Valley area for 40 years.† They then returned to Arkansas, where they have now lived for 39 years.

The reception was hosted by their children, Don Hall and Charlene Guidotti, several grandchildren, Cathy Hall Owens, Tom and Melissa Hall, and great grandchildren. It was a memorable occasion in honor of a very memorable life. Eighty years of wedded bliss is more than a milestone, itís a blessing.
