Turpentine Creek to host golf tournament Aug. 2
Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge (TCWR) is partnering with Big Sugar Golf Club in Pea Ridge to host the second annual Golf to the Rescue charity tournament from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 2.
The cost is $240 for a four-person team and $20 for each optional team mulligan and tee blaster. Breakfast and lunch is complimentary to all participants and prizes for first, second and third place, as well as longest drive and closest-to-the-pin participants, will be awarded.

Several sponsorships spots still need to be filled for the event, which will directly benefit TCWR. The $100 bronze package includes corporate hole signage. A silver sponsorship is valued at $325 and will include on four-person team and corporate hole signage. It is $500 for the gold sponsorship, which includes the same benefits as the silver plus social media promotion. The platinum package is $2,500 and includes all the benefits of the gold package along with the additional perk of registration table and deck signage.

Additionally, TCWR is seeking at least 15 volunteers for the event for the following positions: registration personnel, long drive ball spotters, beverage cart drivers (must be 21 years or older) and peripheral needs. Shifts begin at 7 a.m. and last until 4 p.m. Breakfast, lunch and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided complimentary to volunteers and participation counts toward TCWR's volunteer incentive program.
